"windows not able to enable this device"

My dvd writerr (HP 200j) was disabled and I tried
enabling it using device manage but got this error:
"Windows not able to enable this device".
Anyone knows how to get around this problem?

Try installing device,delete any software installations,
go to windows update,try windows drivers or hardware
catalog,search for the hp listings.Even though you have
a DVD,you need special software,try third party add-ons
at windows media.
