How do I turn this safety feature off? I understand the purpose of it.
I've been working with computers for 20 years and I've never gotten a virus.
I do lots and lots and lots of mods to my system and would like to work on
it without is saying -are you sure you want to do this everytime I do
anything.

Thanks

Again, I understand the risk that puts my system in but I want to do it
anyways - so please don't bother to recommend that I not disable it but
please DO reply if you have a way of bypassing it.

Type UAC into the Help and Support option and it will direct you on where to
go to turn it off.

Hi,

Start/type MSCONFIG, hit <enter>. On the tools tab you will find an option
to disable UAC. You will need to reboot.

Start, Control Panel, User Accounts (User Accounts), Turn User Account
Control on or off.

In the start search box, type 'msconfig'. Accept the UAC prompt and go to
the tools tab. Scroll down to "Disable UAC - Disable User Acount Control
(requires reboot)", then click 'launch'. Finally, restart your computer.

You can also go to Control Panel > User accounts and family safety > User
Accounts > Turn User Acount control on or off.

Consider turning it back on later after you have your computer setup as you
want it. There are major benefits - most importantly Internet Explorer's
Protected Mode which can't run without UAC.
