I am very new to making picture cd's. I have just made a slide show for a
friend so that it can be played on their DVD player with music. It plays on
the computer but it doesn't work on the DVD player.

Can someone help please. My DVD supports all types of CD / DVD is it a
particular format I need to save it under in order for it to work.

If you burned a CD using Movie Maker, it won't play on any stand-alone DVD
players currently on the market.

If you made it using other DVD creation software, it should play.

What did you use to make the disc?

I am new to Movie Maker myself, but I believe that you need a separate
program such as MyDVD to create a video file (NTSC format) that can be played
back on a DVD player. You can save your project as a movie to a local disk
directory (mvw format). Then you can create a project in MyDVD that will
import a Movie Maker mvw file. I believe the standard output file from MyDVD
is NTSC. Hope this helps.
