When I hook up my camcorder to my laptop and go to movie
maker (s cable connection) when I get set to record, the
only option I have available is to record 'audio'
not 'video'. I followed the tutorial but I still cant get
it to work. Any ideas?

I'm new to this, but I think you need to give more hardware specifics. I assume you have a way to get s video to the PC via some internal board (ATI special maybe) or an external box to a firewire or other highspeed interface. In that light, audio needs to go the same path. A digital camcorder should have a firewire port - you should use that. If you have analog only, note as well you muct also connect the audio cables (red/white) to an audio board

If audio is the only available I'd guess you have no video conversion facility on the s-video port., so only sound can be recorded. Wish I could help more

Your S-Video connection on your notebook is probably Video OUT, not Video
In. Check your notebook manual for specifications. 99% of S-Video
connections are one way only... and not the way your want to go.
