windows movie maker

I just want my original movie maker back. I can add the music but as soon as
I start adding pics or vid it comes up with something like expereiecing
problems must close. or it freezes up and then comes back on and then says
experienciing trouble must close.

There may be compatibility issues with your
source files.

Many formats are reportedly compatible with
Movie Maker but the most reliable choices are:

Photos - bmp
Video - wmv or dv-avi
Music - wma, wav, wmv

It may help if you open Movie Maker and go to...
Tools / Options / Compatibility tab and uncheck
all the filters / OK.
