I hope someonw can help me.

I started using the movie maker on XP and everything was going perfectly for
hours. I was working on it for about 6 hours, always saving the project of
course. Suddenly i was adding an AVI (movie) file to the project and it shut
down completely. I went to the project that i had saved last and opened it
and it is now impossible to edit. Everytime i press anything to edit the
project it closes straight away. I tried creating a new project and the same
thing happens, i manage to add some film and pics but then suddenly it closes.

What can I do?

thanks

============================
Open Movie Maker and go to...Tools /
Options / Compatibility tab...uncheck
all the filters / OK. If that helps...don't
reimport the .avi file...it's apparently not
compatible.

If you still have the issue...it may be worth
a try to do a system restore to a time before
the issue began.

Good luck.

Solutions that work for
me may not work for you

Proceed at your own risk

try deleting the source file that you last added, the avi one, as it is most
likely not compatible and may be casuing the problem.
