My version does not have "Save to DVD". How can I rectify this?
================================
The only version of XP Movie Maker that has
the DVD option is the Windows XP Media
Center Edition 2005.

Otherwise, you need DVD authoring software...
some examples are...Nero, Roxio, ULead,
WinDVD Creator, ProShow Gold, etc...etc...

Or...upgrade to Vista Home Premium or
Vista Ultimate:

Mine just says "Save to CD". Does this mean you can't save your movie to
play in a DVD player? Or do users with this version need to save in a
special format? I'm a "newbie" to all of this!
Thanks

==================================
First you need to save your project in a movie
format...wmv, or .avi. Then you would import
your completed movie file into DVD authoring
software to create the DVD.

Maybe the following articles will offer some ideas:

John,
Thanks for the great information! I had Sonic MyDVD on my computer and
deleted it, thinking Windows Movie Maker was the same type of program!! I
may be back in touch...I'm trying to create a graduation DVD for my son! :)

Hello again! I'm trying to import music into my project and it won't let me.
I purchased the songs I wanted from iTunes, but I get a message that WMM
doesn't support the format. Do I need to be doing something different? I
believe the format they're in is MP4.
Thank you!

Have a look at the following articles:

(look at the right column under PapaJohn Comments)

If you create a music CD with your iTunes
files...here are instructions on ripping the CD:

I copied the following info from a previous
message and have no idea if it will work
for you but it may be worth a look:

Question:
I have downloaded music from iTunes
(comes in .m4p format) that cannot be
opened by Windows Media Player, and
therefore cannot be imported into WMM.
Is there a way to convert so the music
can be added to a movie being formed
in ?WMM?

Answer:

Here's what I learned today from a geek
at Compusa and it worked splendidly
for me:

1) In I-Tunes, go to "Edit", then "Preferences"
2) Select "Advanced"
3) Select "Importing"
4) From "Import Using", scroll to MP3
Encoder and select that.

Now, find the song you want to take from
"4" to "3" and RIGHT Click. You should
have the option to change to MP3 right
there. I had copied my I-Tune file to a CD
before I did this, so I'd have an unchanged
original in case this didn't work.

Hope this helps,

NT

Good luck...
