when trying to download DV from my Panasonic NVGS11, Windows movie maker will
not recognise the camcorde. Had no problem with the previous version of movie
maker.
The usb connectors and cable are all ok?
Any ideas??

You need to use firewire. Windows Movie Maker isn't designed for capturing
video through a USB cable.... that would be analog video. WMM works best
with digital video.

my laptop doesnt have a firewire .. it does have a USB, what can I do?

my camcorder is Panasonic NV-GS27 (eqv to PV-GS 29).

why have they provided a USB port when its of no use?

It is of use to transfer the still images.

You can purchase a PCMCIA firewire card which goes in the slot at the side
of the notebook.
