Windows Movie Maker... No Sound...

I just can't seem to get any sound from this program...
I've connected my VCR to my computer... And the programs
that came with my caption card plays the sound just
fine... But the moment I open this program... no sound
from the VCR...
 
Do you accidentally have the line in connection set to mute...... You are
connecting the vcr to the PC via the yellow composite connection to the
analog capture hardware and the red and white going to a minijack to the
sound card line in, correct?
