Windows Movie Maker Narration

I'm using windows XP. I've made movies with narration before using WMM, but
now my narration won't record on the new project. Am using the same headset
microphone I've used before and don't think I've changed any settings unless
inadvertently.

Can anyone help?

Just wondering...does the Win XP Sound Recorder work?

Start button / All Programs / Accessories / Entertainment / Sound Recorder

OK, Call me an idiot. I was plugged into the speaker port rather than the
microphone port. Thanks for your prompt reply anyway. Best, Buck
