Windows Movie Maker Giant Green Block

Giant_Green_Block

After I'm all done making a video and publish it to my computer, every time I
open it to watch it, the whole bottom half of the video is just green. The
top half is my video all smushed up by the green block. How do I make this
green block stop appearing?
 
It says this is in microsoft.public.windowsxp.moviemaker, so I thought I'd
just let you know that I actually have Vista, not XP

When I tried to follow the directions, I was unable to find XVid on my
computer. So I googled XVid and then went to ( I think) the 2nd entry to
download XVid. After I downloaded it, I was able to follow the directions
from bernzilla and when I published a video - Voila!! no green bar!!!!
