I am having problems with windows movie maker freezing when I try to capture
video. I bought an Adaptec AVC-1100 video converter to convert analog video
onto my computer with my camcorder. I installed the drivers from Adaptec.com
and started up windows movie maker.
At the audio options I click the adaptec converter as the device and then it
says the source is microphone. I click next until its supposed to start
capturing, but instead it just freezes before I get to that part.
Ctrl+Alt+Delete doesnt even close it. I have to manually turn the computer
off. I've tried this several times. I then change the audio device to the
other option (sigmatel audio or something like that) and the source is still
microphone, it then works and I can capture video but none of the audio comes
through with it. I know i have to have the adaptec converter as the audio
device but it continually freezes. What can I do about this?
(I also have Sonic MyDVD, but when I try to capture video it just tells me
it finds no video device attached, even though it is attached and turned on.)
