I have not used the program for a few months and now it crashes each
time it starts.
Is there any way to reinstall the program.
My XP system is working fine otherwise.

There are two possible ways to reinstall Movie
Maker 2.1...
1) The following steps previously offered by
Carlos, MCSE are supposed to reinstall
MM2.1. (you'll need your Windows XP Disk)
===
1. Go to C:\Windows\inf
2. Right click on Moviemk.inf and click on Install
3. When it asks for your Windows XP cd put
it in and browse to the I386 folder. Click OK
===
2) Movie Maker 2.1 is included in Windows XP
SP2...so you may want to reinstall SP2:

Generally, users install from the net but this
site allows you to download the complete
file to your hard drive before installing.
It's good for a network administrator because
you can burn it on a CD and install it on as
many computers as you need to.
And it's good for a single machine because
if you ever need to install it again...you'll have
it available without waiting for a download.
