I hope someone could help me. This is a recent problem, one that has just
occured in the last month. I make various videos using episodes from a tv
show, and i am able to upload it into WMM and it will break it down into
smaller clips to work with. But when i play a clip to see if it's what i'm
looking for, the timing stops when it's supposed to, but the clip keeps
going. it goes to the next scene, it doesn't turn black, i can see it. What
can i do to fix this problem? I need help please. I have IE7, but i've had
that longer then the problem.

MM rarely works well with mpeg files, which I assume you may have using
captured tv, try converting these files to wmv using windows media encoder
then editing.

Actually i use avi files to upload them in the MM. I have never had this
problem before, this is a recent thing.

Of the 800+ avi file types there are, MM only works well with dv.avi, so
unless you have this file type I still suggest converting to wmv.
Any change to your system may have stopped MM working with your avi file,
which is unfortunate now, but you were fortunate before that it worked.
