I have just downloaded movie maker 2 and installed it on
2 different machines (both running XP).

On both machines as soon as I click on any edit function
(transition etc) the program shuts down.

There is no error message, nothing just the program
disappears from the screen and the process is no longer
running.

Does anyone have this software running on windows XP? If
so, is there a bug fix for it somewhere?

thanks
Kim

Well just about everyone I know has had the problem with
the program crashing when you use transitions or effects.
After many tries I have finally developed a little exe
file that will fix your problem. So far the fix fixes the
transitions and effects problem, although does not yet
fix titles. Titles are able to be made in the timeline if
for instance they are added automatically by automovie,
yet all they do is add a weird shiny silver chrome effect
to the video no matter what the text settings are. So you
can simply do everything in the program again, except use
titles. I will try and fix the title problem as soon as
possible. Please email me (e-mail address removed) with a
subject like Movie Maker 2 Fix or something like that.
