windows modules that cause hanging

Anyone who can help me?
I have repeated freeze problems and have discounted overheating. The crash
dumps say that there are problems in the modules hungapp( when using media
playing software) and mshtml. Can anyone fill me in on what these are and
how to correct the faults.

A copy of the crash analysis is:
2/20/2004 4:53 PM Application Error Faulting application iexplore.exe,
version 6.0.2800.1106, faulting module mshtml.dll, version 6.0.2800.1400,
fault address 0x001eadea.

Please help. This has become very noticeable since I installed some of the
critical updates recommended by website.
