Sam

I've downloaded Messenger Plus and use Windows Messenger.
I notice you can do the message logging but I'm unable to
get this to work on XP machine. Any ideas?

Hi
I have had Messenger Plus! for quite some time now, and although I dont use it to its
full potential, I do use the logging and I did notice that after one of the updates
in Windows Messenger 4.7 or the upgrade of MSN Messenger to version 6.0 that the
logging of conversations often failed in the Windows Messenger program, and would
come up with an error message. If you wanted the logging in the XP Windows Messenger
to work ok you had to make sure you logged into the right program first ~ sorry, I
cant remember which it was ( Windows OR MSN Messenger ).

However, in the last week, I updated Plus! as I had'nt done that for some time, and
find now that Plus! logging works EVERY time in Windows Messenger, without hiccups :)
The latest version of Plus! is 2.51.68 of 1st November '03. If you've not got that
version yet, update and see if it helps. ( I have MSN Messenger 6.1.0155 and Windows
Messenger 4.7.2009)

Good luck

In Windows Messenger, I try to type something in the
conversation window to chat with another person. I've
made sure under the Plus menu, that "Log This Chat" is
checked for logging. However, when I type something, it
never creates a file for logging. I'm not sure exactly
where this file gets stored, but when I click Plus then
choose Open Log File, I get the following error:

An internal error occured. Logging is temporary disabled
for this chat. Try to reinstall Messenger if the problem
persists.

I've never tried using the Logging feature with the
previous version of Windows Messenger, but I have Windows
Messenger 5.0 and MSN Messenger 6.1 on my machine.

Any ideas?
