Easy question, I think...
Could somebody please give me a hand and tell me how to
remove Windows Messenger-I know how to remove a program
but am unsure as to what the program name is, it does not
appear under the name windows messenger

Control Panel-Add or Remove programs and on the left-hand pane, go to
Add/Remove Windows Components
 
You can remove access to Windows Messenger from Add/Remove Programs,
Add/Remove Windows Components. To completely uninstall it, see
www.dougknox.com, Win XP Utilities, Disable/Remove Windows Messenger.
