Hi, just had everything installed on new laptop - but I want to get rid of
Windows Messenger and use MSN Messenger instead. I understand the two
conflict if on the same pc?? There was some sort of code you had to type
in to remove windows messenger???

Greetings Judy,

As long as you don't mind losing Remote Assistance, Whiteboard or Application Sharing within
MSN Messenger, you can simply uninstall Windows Messenger by clicking the Start button, then
click Run and type in (copy-paste if you like):
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

Then click OK.
Messenger will then be uninstalled. For more detailed instructions and screenshots, go to,
