Windows Messenger with Outlook

I have just moved to Outlook from Outllok Express.
OE displayed the staus of my Windows Messenger contacts
by means of a red or green icon in the contacts pane. Is
it possible for Outlook to display this status?

Greetings Michael,

No, Outlook does not have this type of "pane" -- the only similar functionality in Outlook is
that for e-mail messages that arrive, Outlook will show you the online status of a contact
(if the e-mail addresses match).
