Windows messenger not working

Hi,

I was having windows messenger with winxp, then i
uninstalled it from the controlpanel add/remove windows
components and unchecked windows messenger...

Now i want it back, when installed the new versions like
5.0,5.1 and it is installed and i cant see it in the
add/remove program or anywhere or than start-programs-
windows messenger...

When i try to open it, it seems to be opening, but i cant
see it anywhere...

help me out to fix this problem and to get it back

This is what i get when i click the link:

"The download you requested is unavailable. If you continue to see this
message when trying to access this download, you might try the "Search for a

Now the situation is i totally removed 4.7 and i installed 5.0 and i cant
install it and the installation told me that i can't install this version
because it is old i'm having a new version. Then i restart the pc and
thought that i'm having 5.1 and when i run the 5.1 installation, it prompted
me for repair....., then i started the process and then it showed the
following error message....

"A network error occured while attempting to read from the
file:C:\messenger.msi"

Please help me out to get back my windows messenger without any
reinstallation of windows....

Thanks a lot and you are the man!!! :rocks: Now windows messenger is
working, as now i have 4.7 do i need to upgrade, if so which one, and please
point me to the right direction as i may do it wrong...
