I installed MSN Messenger 6.0, and at the moment my
Windows Messenger is acting up. Every time I log on onto
the Internet is automatically signs me in. Any
suggestions?

In order to disable this feature there is a path you can follow. Go to the
control panel, user accounts, choose your account, then choose the option
"manage my network passwords". This comes up with stored user names and
passwords, choose the email(passport) that it is automatically logging onto
and remove it.
This should solve the problem and should no longer sign in, until you choose
to.

Greetings Desiree,

You'll need to disable Windows Messenger so that it doesn't automatically start with your
computer. To do so, open up Windows Messenger, then click the Tools menu, then Options, then
Preferences tab, uncheck 'Run this program when Windows starts' and click OK. Then
right-click the Windows Messenger icon and choose Exit.

Also, if you use Outlook Express, it will automatically start Windows Messenger. To prevent
this from happening, close Outlook Express, then download and run this .reg file:
