Happy New Year all!

Whenever I try to open a .wmv file, I routinely get the error message
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file because it is either damaged
or corrupt." I've been unable to find a solution either on the
Microsoft website, nor Google. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Steve

Maybe your .wmv files are all corrupt or damaged....

Yeah, maybe. But a lot of them came from sites where I've downloaded
avi's and mpg's with no problems.

Does a particular .WMV file *always* give an error?

Yeah, most of them.

Something just occured to me... There's a site where I often download
..XLS files. If I use IE, then Excel will open the files no problem, but
if I use Netscape, then Excel complains that the files are corrupt. I
used Netscape to get the .WMV files. Hmmmm.....
