Hi,
Yesterday my computer said i had an upgrade waiting for windows media
player(10) i think but i didn't know if i needed this so i didn't action it .
it said it would be there when i next logged on but it isn't and i still
don't know if i need it. it said it would improve the quality of the music.
As you can tell i know almost nothing about using windows medlai player. Do
all these upgrades keep using more space on your hard drive or is some of it
replacing what they already have on there? I only want to copy cd's and
movies nothing to technical yet! Please help an idiot!

Some upgrades will overwrite previous files and some are added, thus using
more harddrive space. Upgrades are necessary mainly for security reasons and
to be compatible with current standards.

Tiv,
It should replace existing files and add only those needed for the upgrade...
no idiots, just learners...the only stupid question is the one un-asked!
