windows media player

i keep getting the "windows media player has encountered a problem and must
close now" window everytime i try to plays some tunes from my library. Tried
uninstalling WM11 and re-installing but no help. Any suggestions..?

If this occurs only while playing "some tunes," and it's the same tunes
each time, I'd have to suspect that those specific files are corrupted
and should be deleted.

No...it does this with all my songs...any other ideas..?

After you removed WMP11 and before you re-installed it, did you verify
the the tunes played normally? Can they be played with any other media
player?

Also, have you verified that your system meets WMP11's minimum system
requirements:
