Windows media player

when using the media player, the music tracks skip and flutter. not only is playback rubbish but cannot record to cd. any ideas?

Must be a newer cd,My toby keith did that,it has a puter
tract on it.I had to put it to the hard drive and burn
the music to the cd.Could not disc to disc copy,or play
it,NEEDED to COPY it to the computer to get it to
work.Welcome to the wonderful world of copy rights.All I
wanted to do is make a copy for each of my cars,leaving
my original in the house for listening to.
