Recently I had a trojan on my computer and using various tools to delete
it I managed to remove it. and now I find that I have a problem with wmp11.
I wanted to remove it so I went into add and remove programs but kept on
getting a message saying "close all programs before you roll back" .My
problem is I have not got any programs running . How can I remove WMP11 ?

Why do you want to un-install it ???

Simply re-install it over itself. Nothing more simple. In other words
redownload the file and install it. Shoudl then work correctly.

There seems to be a lot of debate about WMP11, personally I've never had any
problems, and use it most days.

You can't while using Vista Home Premium system .
A complete restart is the order of the day .
Sumthin to do with the factory installed WMP .
I went the reinstall route to be told a newer version was on my computer .
Also your media center still links to this unoperating WMP . But try opening
your WMP while using your center , it kills it .
Just happened to me .
