Windows Media Player not responding

For some reason recently my computer does not respond
when I try to upload cds onto the windows player nor does
it want to burn cds. It just freezes and says not
responding or takes forever to copy a cd to the media
library! Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Quit using Media Player to rip cd's. Get cdex, it's free,
works great and makes excellent quality mp3's. Get it here
