Windows Media Player lags

When viewing a video in fullscreen with Windows Media Player the video
becomes really slow and lags. After some time the video and sound are out of
sync.
Are there some settings that can fix this or is it my hardware?

Intel Pentium 2,8GHz, 1GB RAM, nVidia GeForce 7300 LE

This happends to all videos I try to view with Media Player

Tried to update my video drivers, but no difference.
 
Im using the RTM version

Which version of Vista are you running? I know there is a video playback
problem ni RC1. This should be solved in the RTM version.
