Hi there,

Is/how is it possible to embed a video stream rendered with Windows
Media Player in a Web page displayed by Pocket IE? I've tried using the
(HTML) code for the Pocket PC 2002 solution - but that doesn't work.
Also, I can't find such a control for Pocket PC 2003 (and I can't even
find the Pocket PC 2002 version anymore).

I would have expected this to be included right out of the box but it
seems that I'm out of luck here (after all, Windows Media Player 9 is
there) :-(

regards,
david

There is no control for PPC 2003. You should be able to render a stream in
PPC 2002, however. Have you tried posting to
microsoft.public.pocketpc.developer? Someone there may be better equipped to
help you with specific technical questions.

Hi Catherine,
There is no control for PPC 2003.

Thanks for the information! Is there a timeframe for when the WMP
Control for PPC 2003 will be available?
You should be able to render a stream in
PPC 2002, however.

That's how we did it in the end. However, having to downgrade to PPC
2002 due to the non-existence of the WMP Control for PPC 2003 gave us a
significant performance penalty on our .NET Compact Framework
applications...

warm regards,
david

I'm sorry to hear about the poor performance. There is currently no
timeframe for a control for PPC 2003.

Catherine
