I am using windows xp. When I start Windows Media PLayer
(9) as user with administrator privileges everything
works fine, but when log on as user from grou Users only
then I get error message "Cannot play back the audio
stream: no audio hardware is available, or the hardware
is not responding (Error= 80040256)"

Is there any way how to obtain working system? This is
very important for me as I cannot give administrator
privilege for all family.

Sounds like the sound card isn't working for non-admin users? That'd be a
sound card driver problem. :\

Thank you very much for your help. The problem is resolved
now. I verified that the problem begins when I install
anti-virus F-Secure. After removing it from the system
everything works fine. I will use some other antivirus program.

I remember that this problem was fixed already quite a while ago in
f-secure product, at least version 5.40 works allright (I use it).
