Windows Media Player Album Info

I have found windows media player to only download about 50% of Album info.
It normally recognises the album name and artist but then more often than not
is unable to find track info. And yet Apple iTunes which for me is not as
intuitive, finds even the most obscure album & track info.

Is there any way to overcome this other than laboriously typing in track
info for my large pile of CD's, for example is there a plugin or setting to
check with a better data provider
