Does anyone hate what they've done to the latest build of Windows Media
Player 11 as much as I do. Now you are forced, when in Library, to show the
column "Album". This really screws up the song title displays and you can't
turn the thing off - why, I have absolutely no idea.
They had it right with the first Beta release of WMP 11 but then screwed it
up in subsequent versions. What were they thinking?

What? Did you try to right click on titlebar and select - chose columns?

When I right click there is no columns option. The name of the song playing
doesn't show up at all since I installed RC1.

Yes, but Album is grayed out and cannot be disabled. And that's my peeve.
Why shouldn't I be able to disable it if I don't want the "album art", and I
don't.

That's a new one on me. I don't have any problem with the columns showing
up - my problem is not being able to disable the Album column.

If you are sorting by album, then album is grayed out. If you sort by song,
you can delete album.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, it doesn't work - at least not on
my system. I change the sort order but I still could not uncheck Album.
