HELP!!!

Im currently having trouble opening up Media Player 10. When I click on my
icon to open up media player 10, I get a message "An internal application
error has occured" and then media player will not open. Also-when I insert a
CD to listen to,media player will not play it as this error message is shown
eachtime media player is tried to be opened or used. I have tried un
installing and reinstalling media player 10,but it hasnt stopped the problem.
I have Windows XP.

my system restore also seems to be stuck and wont open so i cant try restoring to a different point.
i cannot download windows media player 11 as that wont work, i need some codec or application and when i try downloading it says some error message, so that wont work either but im noit bothered by that i just want windows media 10 back.

Have you done anyt sort of virus scans to rule out that posibility...?

Why not try an alternative like Winamp..? Far better media player in my opinion...

yes i have done a full computer scan and it found a tracking cookie, which said was a low danger threat.
FINALLY.anyways i just restarted my computer 4 times in a row... the 4th time i got the system restore to work.. FINALLY, i found that very odd but i restored to a few days back and woohoo what do ya know, windows media isworking again
thanks for the help tho appreciate it, i might try that player you suggested..
