Hello

Why does the mouse pointer disappear in Vista / Ultimate / RTM / Windows
Media Center?

Move your mouse and the pointer will reappear.
Do you want to watch TV or a movie with a curser over
the picture?

Yes - I too have this problem - I have to sort of guess where the pointer is
and once I mouse over an available button or menu item - it reappears only
while I'm hovering over the button. My other Media Center 2005 does not do
this - only Vista RC2 and RTM does.

Possibly a flaw in all the beta video drivers from NVIDIA, or ATI if you are
using that.

Happens on either. I forget the model - but it's a store bought HP Media
Center 2005 that I load Vista RTM on.

Turn off "Display pointer trails" in "Mouse Propertes - Pointer Options"; the
invisible pointer then returns.

You're my hero... you really are.

Works for me - thanks so much - I was working in the blind and could not find
any documentation on MS sites.

I hope this is not out of context with gendre, so if it is, please accept my
appologies and use what ever title applies.

JUNHALL99, YOU'RE THE MAN! HP couldn't give me the right answer. Maybe they
just didn't have the right situation. They had me uninstalling drivers and
getting updates to replace newer versions of my software. TANX!
