Messing around with Vista trying to figure out some of the features
available to me, I played a bit with Media Center.

A number of activities comes up with an error message:

Invalid Application
Unable to launch ""

In particular, this happens for Internet TV and Online Media Learn
How. A few others I don't recall also does this.

Any ideas? Doesn't seem to have much in the way of settings or options
that I can or should tweak. Perhaps if there was a way to uninstall
and reinstall it, but I suspect it is tightly integrated with the OS.

I searched the MS support, but came up empty. Since I see that Media
Center is taking an even bigger role in Windows 7, I'd like to figure
this out.

Thanks!

MikeB,
many of the features of Media Center require you to buy additional
hardware in order to be functional. The TV is one. Windows help has more
info for you.

Dave, are you referring to the "learn how" part of Media Center? That
is one part of it that is giving this symptom.

Mike, Can't explain why "learn how" doesn't work, unless you are not
connected to the 'net. Do you have broadband or an "always on"
connection? If you are on a dial-up you will need to be on line to make
it work.

I can tell you that it is a buggy app. I have it on my other computer
(Vista x86) and it doesn't work well. This computer (Vista x64) works fine.

Follow these links to see if it tells you anything or try subscribing to;

Best of luck,

Dave, Thanks! Just the links I needed. I'll look into it.
