Windows Media 9 Patch error

I supposedly updated my windows media 9 player on windows
update but was given a previuos version. I cannot get
into the player now as it tells me that it has found the
wrong version. Please help. Thanks
 
Hi, If you run "C:\Windows\Inf\unregmp2.exe /UpdateWMP" that should fix that
right up.
