I have read multiple posts here on "Unmountable Boot Volume" problems, but
they all pertain to Windows XP. I can find nothing in the Windows Me
discussions about this. I'm working on an 8-year-old Dell with Windows Me.
I've tried the XP suggestions for this problem to no avail. I cannot boot
from the cd drive so I cannot run the OS cd. I can boot to A drive, but
cannot change to the C, D, or E drives from the A: prompt. I can click on
the three safe mode options, but the list (script??) stops at " . . . .
partition2\windows\system32\drivers\agp440.sys" and then goes back to the
blue "Unmountable Boot Volume" screen. Since I cannot get into Safe Mode, I
cannot perform any of the suggestions displayed on the blue screen. My son's
honeymoon pictures are on the hard drive and I would really like to salvage
them for him. ALL HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!
