....for a long time I have not been able to access secure
sites (https) and perform other functions on the Web at
home, with me Me setup, that I can at work, with my XP
setup. Okay fine. Now I can't do anything that doesn't
have "ActiveX controls enabled." Well I'm sorry but there
is no option in my Internet Options Advanced macro, that
will allow me to enable my ActiveX controls, just as there
is no option in my Internet Options macro that will allow
me to enable the security feature I need to access those
tricky pages.

HOWEVER, when I log into NETSCAPE, I am perfectly fine,
connected, and able to do anything I want. What the heck
is that? Besides frustrating and really irritating.

Cannot view secure sites....
Does the browser have 128 bit cipher or does it read 0, and is the date,
time, and regional setting correct?
The other cause is by corrupt dll files, need to be swapped out.
I've fixed this problem a few times in WindowsMe, if you check the above
mentioned couple of things, I may be able to aid you with some kind of auto
fix.

Hi.
First of all you want to be running IE6.
Secondly it is preferable to keep it up to date via
Windows Update.
Thirdly if you go to Tools-Internet Options and click on
the security tab and click the Custom Level button you
will find the ActiveX-related options which you can
enable. CLick ok and you should be all set.
cheers,
