this is the first time i am using windows mail. in all earlier versions like
outlook / express etc, i know this option where you can use word as default
editor for composing all new mail messages. this ensures that we can format /
allign / bullet etc just like in word. However, this windows mail thing is
not showing me this option of using word as default editor for composing all
new messages / replies. please suggest / advise.

So why are you asking in a newsgroup that discusses Outlook?
in all earlier versions like outlook / express etc, i know this option
where you can use word as default editor for composing all new mail
messages.

Wrong. OE doesn't have that. Outlook does.
this ensures that we can format / allign / bullet etc just like in word.
However, this windows mail thing is not showing me this option of using
word as default editor for composing all new messages / replies.

Yep, because Windows Mail is NOT Outlook. If you happen to get around to
using Outlook then you'll actually have to BUY and install Word (likely as
part of the MS Office suite).
please suggest / advise.

Decide on what e-mail client you want to use. This newsgroup discusses
Outlook.

You should be asking in microsoft.public.windows.vista.mail
in all earlier versions like
outlook / express etc, i know this option where you can use word as default
editor for composing all new mail messages. this ensures that we can format
/
allign / bullet etc just like in word. However, this windows mail thing is

Neither Outlook Express nor Windows Mail have ever had the ability to use Word
as the mail editor.
