Just make Outlook 2003 or higher the default and don't open WinMail. Or, disconnect from the Internet and remove all accounts from Windows Mail (Tools | Accounts).

G Gary VanderMolen Nov 3, 2007 #3 When you install Outlook, it will register itself as the default email program, so Windows Mail will no longer come up. You don't need to do anything special.
