A few times a day my Windows Mail goes bad. If I try to create mail or
forward mail the new window that opens up is blank.I have to restart the
computer to fix this. I uninstalled and re-installed my McAfee anti-virus
which hasn't helped. My wife has the same setup and the same trouble with her
computer.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/POP3

In computing, local e-mail clients use the Post Office Protocol version 3
(POP3), an application-layer Internet standard protocol, to retrieve e-mail
from a remote server over a TCP/IP connection. Many subscribers to individual
Internet service provider e-mail accounts access their e-mail with client
software that uses POP3.

For more comprehensive definition use link above.

In layman's terms it's the set of rules or procedures that email clients
like WM use to download email from your email server to your computer.

You'd think they could put this on some kind of permanent banner on this
forum so this question would not to be repeated so often. I'm sure you're
going to get several replies telling you that McAfee is not compatible with
WM and you need to uninstall the program and use one of the free virus
checkers like Avast.
That is unless you are saying that you still had the problem after
uninstalling McAfee and that your wife uses a different viral program on her
computer. If she too used McAffee, try uninstalling and reinstalling WM
after removing McAfee.
