windows mail

Can you only use windows mail with vista or can you use it with XP? If so
where can I download it? If no can I use windows live mail with XP and where
can I download it?

yes windows mail is the recreation of outlook express with a few bugs added
(lol), it's only available with vista. personnally i failed to see the need
to recreate something that works well but anyway.

and even more frustrating is the fact that you cannot use the "new and
improved" windows mail with a web based account such as hotmail...they say
outlook express will not work with vista so you are forced to outlook for
simple message management or switch to a different server or just workm your
mail from the web...any suggestions would be appreciated here..alternate
mail program etc.?

to me, it's not that well improved, everytime i go see the e-mail address in
my contacts the explorer crashes and have to reload windows mail, so "new
and improved" new yes improved depends what you mean by improved? that there
a little less or more bugs in windows mail than outlook?..... i'd rather not
answer, i just can't wait untill the day microsoft gets dumbed by all it's
client who are sick and tired of it and go to linux for example, especially
linux is free operating system why pay 200 to 300 buck for vista when
something more reliable for free, the only thing is linux since it more
reliable it's also harder to get a driver, but that cuz manufacturor are
concentrating on making windows driver.
