I can't make Windows Mail my default mail handler, its ether Outlook or
nothing

Is there a way to fix this so Windows Mail is my default mail handler?

Have you tried, within Windows Mail....

Tools > Options > General > Default Messaging Programs...

Did you try Start | Default Programs?
 
I have the same problem. In "Tools/Options" I click on Make Default then
Apply, but after I close it and then re-open it is saying that it is not my
default program.
In Set Your Default Programs in my control panel. The only part of Windows
Mail that is listed is Window Mail(News).P
 
Thank you for your help. But I am still having a problem. When I am in a
website and click on an email address, internet explorer comes up and not
window mail. All defaults are set to 3 defaults (.eml, MailTo protocol, and
email link) are set to Windows Mail. Any thoughts?
