Suddenly I cannot delete Junk-Email This acted strange yesterday when when
I deleted 800+ messages, but it worked. Now no Junk can be deleted.

You are lucky you are that far! I was on Outlook Express, got a new computer
today and they say they have changed to Windows Mail but don't know how to
get my addresses over to Windows Mail. Any advice?

If you are not willing to just ignore them, the only way is to delete both
copies of the database (which does not contain the messages, but only
references to them) and let WinMail rebuild it.
First close WinMail, then use Task Manager to make sure there are no
instances of it under applications or processes.
Then click Start | Search | Advanced Search
Check the box to include non-indexed, hidden and system files.
In the Name field type WindowsMail.MSMessageStore and click the Search
button.
It should show you two copies. Delete both of them and re-open WinMail.
WinMail will work in the background and recover all of the messages that are
really there.

What??? That was rude. I did follow instructions and the indication that I
did not want a new account never showed up. So now I am trying to get my IPS
information. But thanks for the advice re following instructions. Have a
good day.

If the account does not yet exist in Windows Mail then you have to set up a
new account. The new account (as far as Windows Mail is concerned) is your
existing email account. If you can still get into OE you can export the
existing account as an IAF file and import that into WinMail.
