It's hard to say, the server did not respond with much information.
It could be a typing or format error in your user name or password. I would
expect that taltalk.net has a Web page with instructions. Instructions for
Outlook Express will work in WinMail.

I am having the same problem. Three days ago I was able to use an aol
account with imap in Windows Mail/vista but today I am unable to and I am
receiving the same error message that my logon id and/or password are invalid
but I am able to use the same screen name and logon password and be granted
access to my aol mail account when logging in at aol mail without using the
Windows Mail interface. The only difference is that this is a different
computer using windows vista from the one where I did not have a problem.

What is causing the server not to correctly recognize my screen name/email
and password when using Windows Mail?

If you get an error message, can you copy it and post it here?
Which antivirus program are you running?
