Just setting up on my new PC. Used to have Outlook Express where my family
could log on individually to access their mail. How do I do that with
Windows Mail? I don't want individual log into Windows - we all access the
PC under one family identity. What do I need to do to get the same
methodology now?

who thought of that great idea?...so if I want the same sort of look, feel
and functionality that I enjoyed with Outlook Express I need to load OE onto
my Vista and not use the "new & improved" Windows Mail?

No, OE won't work with Vista.

Thanks for you answers...I guess. Am I correct then that each and every time
I check my e-mail during the day I need to log off to keep someone else from
reading my e-mail when they use the computer?

Yes, but that is not any different from OE. OE just gave a false sense of
security. Anyone could have accessed your mail in OE in XP unless you
logged off.

What about your other documents, do you just let people read all that is in
your profile?

Our old XP machine was set up with a single (call it 'family') log on - so we
all used the same settings and applications (Word, IE, Excel...). But when
we launched Outlook Express we each has seperate accounts requiring seperate
password authentication to log on. When I was done with my e-mail sesion I
simply shut down the application and the PC was avaialble to all again
without a log off from it.

Someone today told me that Outlook 2007 works with Vista - in that
environment, does Outlook 2007 use identities or is like Windows Mail in
authenticating accounts only thru loggin off?

I don't use Outlook, so I don't know.
