Can anyone tell me how to remove those carots > that appear when either
returning or forwarding an email message. I know in Netscape Navigator I was
able to remove them. I am not sure how to in Microsift mail

Hi,

If you are referring to Windows Mail that comes with Vista, you can remove
'>' by clicking on:
Tools||Options||Send(tab)
On the Send tab, click on the "Plain Text Settings..." button under Mail
Sending Format.
Remove the checkmark from "Indent the original text with '>' when replying
or forwarding".

For News group postings, do the same thing under News Sending Format.

Regrettably, you are in the wrong NG for an answer to your problem. This one
is for MS Windows Defender and related Antispyware issues.
