windows mail with vista X86

I can't send or recieve mail using this mail system. The message goes to mail
however i can't send it out and recieve the same error message i'll paste
now. The host 'SMTP' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered
the server name correctly.
Subject 'test', Account: 'windows mail', Server: 'SMTP', Protocol: SMTP,
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D.
PLEASE HELP me as I hate this vista system. wish I had my old windows system

"SMTP" is not a valid mail server name. You must obtain the correct
mail server names from your mail provider. If you need help with that,
who is your provider, or what is the part of your address after the @
symbol?
