Obviously much is writtem about WM in this forum and there are references to
WLM.

I have Windows Vista Home Premium with WM. I am unhappy several with aspects
of WM such as sorting & printing.

I think, but not sure, Windows Live Mail, now in beta, is a replacement
program for Hotmail which is Microsoft's web based E-mail program.

I don't use a web based mail. I access my mail using WM and my ISP.

I am hopeful that Vista WM has a short life and is replaced by a program
that operates AT LEAST as good as Outlook Express did in Windows XP.

Does Microsoft intend to replace WM within Vista with Windows Live Mail so
those of us who do not use web based mail can utilize the supposed
improvements contained in WLM?

I have 4 pop accounts and no hotmail or web based accounts.
I am using Windows Live Mail.
Windows Live Mail can access http mail which Windows Mail can't do.

Ronald, thanks for response.

A further question. Can I download WLM and incorporate it into Windows
Vista so I can use it in place of WM.

In other words set up WLM to run as WM currently runs.

If yes, then how.

Thanks,

Harold

Windows Live Mail is *not* a replacement for Hotmail.
It is a standard POP/IMAP/News client like WM, plus the
added ability to use Hotmail accounts.
